World of Warcraft: Legion System Requirements for Windows and Mac

MichaelInfo & Tips, WoWLeave a Comment

As most of you know by now, the World of Warcraft: Legion system requirements for both Windows and Mac were released a few days ago.

While the more demanding system requirements could be good news for hardcore computer owners and graphics addicts, it’s sort of bad news for the less fortunate players who are still playing on not-so professional gaming rigs or even casual laptops. I’m quite sure a lot of WoW’s subscribers, if not the majority of them, are just that, casual players.

Now, while these new requirements aren’t that big of a deal and will probably won’t affect anyone with a decent setup who can play Warlords of Draenor, it will most likely make quite a difference to players whose only option of playing WoD currently is on Low details.

Conclusion

Bottom line is, if you have at least a decent computer, and you were able to play Warlords of Draenor without issues in a raiding environment and high populated open zones, while on High or maybe even Good, you shouldn’t worry as much about Legion’s system requirements.

But if you are barely cutting it currently on Low, then you should really consider going for a stronger setup before Legion hits, especially if you’re playing on a casual laptop, or your graphics card is Intel HD Graphics, which I’ve had a pretty hard time with whenever I played WoW on an older laptop.

Another tip is to really try and “stress test” your current computer/laptop on the Legion alpha, if you’re among the lucky ones that got invited, or wait for the Beta invites and hope you can get your hands on one before going out and getting another computer.
