Banned in Clash of Clans? Start With What the Notice Says

Unbanster Research TeamBan Appeal6 Comments

If you want to get unbanned from Clash of Clans, do not start with a generic appeal.

Start with the lock message, the timing, and the last unusual thing around the account. In CoC, that usually tells you more than a long support article.

If the notice mentions third-party software

This is the most important category.

Supercell often uses short wording, so if the message points to third-party software, do not send a broad “I never cheated” ticket and stop there. Support will already assume something about the device setup or play environment looked wrong.

Your first check should be:

  • were you using an emulator?
  • did you have overlays open?
  • was there any macro-like tool, clicker, mouse software, or automation nearby?
  • did the account log in from a different setup shortly before the ban?

If the answer is yes to any of those, mention it early and briefly. Hiding it makes the ticket weaker later.

If the problem looks more like account sharing or suspicious access

This usually looks different from a cheat-style case.

Common clues:

  • rapid region or IP changes
  • emulator plus phone logins close together
  • someone else had access
  • the village was used in a way that does not match your normal pattern

Here, the appeal should not sound like a cheat defense. It should sound like an ownership / access issue.

What to mention:

  • whether anyone else touched the account
  • whether you changed devices recently
  • whether you traveled or used a VPN
  • whether the account may have been compromised

What not to do:

  • do not write “I never cheated” for five paragraphs if the real issue is access
  • do not leave out a location change if that may be exactly what triggered the lock
Save time and stress, appeal the smart way – get a pro-crafted appeal!

If the lock may be tied to age verification

If the account was asked for age verification and that process was ignored or not completed, the right move is not to build a giant misconduct defense. Keep it simple and say the account may have been locked because of a verification issue, then ask support to confirm that and tell you how to fix it.

That kind of ticket should be short and procedural, not defensive.

If this was a report-driven ban

Not every Clash of Clans ban is a pure anti-cheat case.

If the issue may come from:

  • chat
  • toxicity
  • repeated reports
  • offensive behavior

then the best move is to stay close to the incident itself.

What helps:

  • mention the rough timing
  • mention whether it was one incident or repeated behavior
  • acknowledge context if needed
  • avoid writing a full life story around the account

If the case is mild and isolated, that matters. If the case involved slurs or obvious abuse, support may be less flexible, so the ticket should focus on review or leniency, not total denial.

What to do before you open the ticket

This part should be practical, not ceremonial.

Save the things that are easy to lose:

  • exact wording of the notice
  • approximate date and time
  • Player Tag
  • registered email
  • whatever small clue points to the ban reason

That clue might be:

  • a purchase receipt
  • a chat screenshot
  • a device screen
  • an account-access email
  • the fact that another village on the same device was affected too

You do not need a giant evidence bundle just to start. In many CoC cases, players only have the notice, their Player Tag, and a decent explanation of what changed around the account.
